Our Food

The Surrey Oaks doesn’t have the formality of a restaurant, we are a pub striving to offer good, freshly cooked, seasonal local foods.

We don’t take bookings unless you are a large group, and you can sit where you feel most comfortable.

In addition to our current spring menus, we also have our “Daily Doings” which are always changing, and are largely dependent on the butchers, fishermen and growers around us!

Our Kitchen was refitted in 2014 when Nick & Tracy took over the pub and during the overhaul a wood fired oven was installed.   Unusually you can view your food being cooked from out seating area so you can see how fresh your food really is!

Our Kitchen provides the very best in locally sourced and grown foods not to mention the barbecue and pizza produced in our fabulous wood burning oven.

We even cook with local sustainably sourced wood, and in the summer when our barbeque is burning charcoal sourced from nearby Capel.
